We first worked together in April of last year and immediately hit it off. Jordan is one of the nice guys in the wedding industry and I am proud to call him my friend. I was honored to have filmed his wedding back on August 16th and we will be working together at a wedding this Friday. Since I will have my own report from that wedding I though I'd share Jordan's slideshow from his most recent wedding.
If you haven't booked your photographer yet, you owe it to yourself to look into Jordan's work. He is one of the best in the Philadelphia/New Jersey areas.

Title: Lalo Guerrero: "Tacos for Two" Spotlight 29 Casino (1999)
Lalo Guerrero performs his parody "Tacos for Two" at Spotlight 29Casino in Indo, California on January 17, 1999. His son Mark is on lead guitar. Lalo was 83 years old.
He left this week and I miss him so much. I know we have been extremely blessed to have been together most of this deployment but I can't help it, he's such a big part of me. If you met him you would understand, he has a big personality, there's no one he ever met that didn't like him. He's the kind of guy that makes everyone feel good about themselves.
He's a southern gentleman and he has that charm, sometimes he can lay it on too thick if you know what I mean but I just laugh. He tells me every chance he gets how beautiful I am (even when I look like the above picture), how excited he is about us and that he can't wait until I become his wifey poo. His words, not mine :-))
Although I'm sad I'm also content because it means I can finally start counting down the days until I get home. It won't be long...Until then I will miss him with all my heart.

In order to get through the long hot days around here (the high today was around 117°), my mind has been wondering to far away places. Romantic and exotic places where we could just sit back and have a drink. One of those places is Fiji; I found this resort on an article titled, Take the Plunge! on the latest Destination, Weddings and Honeymoon Magazine, I LOVE it. It's the Royal Davui Island Resort.
There's nothing else on this tiny island but you and 31 other guests, max!
Look at this awesome plunge pool!
The canopy over the bed is so romantic.
Finally, we can get married here as well. There would be no stress, just a long flight to Fiji where we can relax, get married and enjoy our honeymoon before we return to the "real world".
Have you ever been to Fiji? Are there any other resorts you recommend?

Title: Mann Bairagi by Govind Lal with English Translation
Tambura Bhajan "Mann Bairagi" sung by Govind Lal from Lautoka, Fiji Islands. My translation in English is in a poetic manner and not to be confused with subtitles.
To purify my body, I served
To purify my wealth, I donated
Via engaging with the Divine,
I purified my mind
Hence, I discovered salvation
This is how I found enlightenment
Wrapped and loaded went the traveler
Only to stop at the rest area
Luggage with wealth exposed to evil eyes
Surrounded by smiles of thieves
I've deleted my mind
Oh loved ones
I've defragmented my mind
I've cleared my mind
Oh loved ones
I've ceased my mind
Picking only the best designs
I've put together my palace
Others calling their dwelling
Everyone's claiming their share
Neither yours nor mine
The raven inhabits this haven
I've deleted my mind
Oh loved ones
I've defragmented my mind
I've cleared my mind
Oh loved ones
I've ceased my mind
Mother delivers her son
Father coronates his heir
Sister announces her sibling
The swan knows her lover forever
I've deleted my mind
Oh loved ones
I've defragmented my mind
I've cleared my mind
Oh loved ones
I've ceased my mind
Vigorously shaking the crow cries
Singing songs of constant sorrow
Uttering the departure of her lover
Reveals Kabir Das Ji
Oh listen; Oh saints
God giveth, God taketh
I've deleted my mind
Oh loved ones
I've defragmented my mind
I've cleared my mind
Oh loved ones
I've ceased my mind
What a wonderful surprise to read that The Roddy Bride nominated me last week for a Kreativ Blogger Award. Thank you!!!! This makes it all worth it! Now, I need to list 7 facts about myself and then pass it on to 7 other Kreativbloggers!
I'm keeping it simple:
1. Word: Love
2. Dream: To become a fashion designer
3. Love: Motorcycle rides
4. Hate: Injustice
5. Place: Beach in Puerto Rico
6. Designer (s): Karl Lagerfeld (Couture) Oscar de la Renta (RTW) Pronovias (Bridal) OK that's 3 but I couldn't resist.
7. TV Show: First 48 Hours
Passing it on to (some may already have one but you can never have too many!):
With the wedding season fast approaching I though it would be a good timeto cover our MO (Method of Operations).
Because we film everything documentary style, with absolutely no posed shots, the only thing we need to know is when and the where things are going to happen. We need times and locations for bride and/or groom preps, ceremony, and reception. We also need a rundown of all the important events happening at your wedding. We don't need exact times because the time line is usually out the window by the time the bride's makeup is done.
AS far as the reception is concerned, the best thing you can do for us is to explain to the DJ that you are having your wedding professionally filmed and instruct them to make sure they tell us at least 30 seconds in advance of any events or announcements. This allows us to get our cameras in position. And you read correctly we only need about 30 seconds so it shouldn't be that hard for the DVD to accommodate us.
Now to keep things organized and so there is no last minute change of plans that we aren't aware of, we deal with each wedding on a week by week basis. So you won't hear from Ken a month or two before the wedding, you'll only be covering the details the very week of your wedding. So don't panic if two weeks before the wedding you haven't spoken to us. We have been doing it this for 3 years and it works out better so there is no confusion. This might kind of laid back for some high strung people, but remember that while this is your one and only wedding, it's our 300th. We're professionals and we know exactly what to do. Your wedding is in good hands withe KSV Team.

Title: Let's Play Super Mario World - #1. Island Party
Hello everybody and welcome to Let's Play Super Mario World.
This is my 8th Let's Play and my 1st LP of a game I had previously done on my channel. I am redoing this game because the old project had bad video quality and no commentary.
This will be a 100% LP of the game, so I will go through all 96 goals of the game. I will also try to show the many secrets of the game.
This will be updated along with LP Fire Emblem, but will probably be finished first due to the much smaller length of the game. I personally don't see this project going over 20 videos.

Cross Counter w/ Gootecks & Mike Ross (Rawkus "Cammy" vs Onslaught "Akuma") SSFIV - S01E02
Welcome to Cross Counter! On Cross Counter Srteet Fighter vets Gootecks and Mike Ross are helping you step up your game by going over gameplay submitted by you the viewers!
1:27 Akuma backing off at the start trying to stay as far away from cammy's face as possible. Cammy doing her role in this game by trying to get directly in that ass. Cammy is NOT letting akuma run away that easy!
1:43 Akuma can punish a blocked Spiral Arrow with cr. LP xx LK Tatsu, FP Shoryuken (220 dmg, 5 hits, 0 meters) or cr. MP xx LK Tatsu - FP Shoryuken xx FADC FP Hadoken (274 dmg, 6 hits, 2 meters) if you have the meter
1:47 Akuma should be jumping in with MK, not LP because it does more damage. Cammy should be continuing to block, but let's up. The combo Akuma could have done in that situation is cr. LP, cr. LK xx LK Tatsu, FP Shoryuken FADC FP Hadoken
2:29 Smart move by RawkusX to back away because Akuma still has two meters to safely Shoryken FADC. Akuma panics and does Air Tatsu to get out of the corner, but Cammy was far enough away to be able to cr. LK xx Cannon Spike for the win.
2:43 Start of round 2 lets see if Onslaught has the right idea by backing away from Cammy. YES he does, but decides to throw out a random hurricane kick and gets punished for it.
2:45 That's not a combo breaker or anything, Akuma was mashing Shoryuken and Cammy misses her combo. She should have done: cr. LP, cr. LP, cr. LK xx HK Spiral Arrow (5 hits, 153 dmg, 0 meters)
2:54 Random teleport by Akuma followed by random Shoryuken. RawkusX is overestimating Onslaught's abilities because this is the second random Shoryuken he's gotten hit with this round.
2:57 cr. LP, cr. MK xx Hadoken is not the best way to follow up after a knockdown. A better follow up would be a Demon Flip into Dive Kick, Throw or Smash
3:39 Cammy barely gets away from the Raging Demon and misses an opportunity to punish with a Cannon Spike
3:43 Extremely risky Shoryuken right there because he had no meter with which to FADC
3:50 PAUSE! Attention small characters (such as Cammy)! Got to look out for Akumas that walk up and do standing Roundhouse because there's a chance you will duck the second hit from the right distance in which you can COUNTER HIT with a crouching medium kick into a cannon drill. GOOD DAMAGE OPPORTUNITY :)
4:49 Another random Shoryuken.
5:41 Goes for the same Raging Demon trick that he tried last time, but RawkusX didn't learn!
This Encore Bride is a firm believer in giving experiences as gifts instead of "things" however, with Mr. Encore's impending deployment I knew there will be no time for any travel plans for Christmas. Instead I remembered how Mr. E fondly recalled the memories of his grandmother hand quilting when he was growing up. I decided to make him a quilt just in case it got a little cooler at night and that green Army blanket wasn't enough to keep him warm. It took me about 40 hours to finish (8 alone to cut the fabric!)
The blocks are finished and the border is set.
(click pictures to enlarge)
Here is a picture of it completed, please excuse the poor lighting on these pictures.
The back of the quilt, you can't see it but there is a custom silk label on the corner with his name, a scripture and my name.
This is what he found when he opened his last present on Christmas, I had a blue ribbon and bow around it inside of the box.
I never dreamed that he would be so touched by the quilt! Due to his deployment I could only give him things he could use and take with him; an iTunes giftcard, movies, hi-tech watch, calendar, custom letterpress stationery with his rank and name, a control remote Army tank (just for kicks) and the quilt.
He knew I'd been working very hard on this quilt and I had to tell him a "white" lie so he wouldn't know it was for him, when he opened the box and saw the quilt he was in shock. He took the quilt with us to his family (we did Christmas at home before we left for his family) and made sure to tell everyone about it.
The quilt is not perfect, it was my first and although I've been sewing a very long time I never made one before. Due to the prints I chose I realized after I started that it would take a while to cut as all the prints needed to be matched (the guitars, diagonal lines, linear prints, etc.) In the end I'm so glad it turned out well and all of my efforts paid off, it was a hit and is currently somewhere in the Middle East keeping my honey warm as I write this.
In the process I learned to never underestimate the appreciation for giving someone your time as you create something for them, small or large, it is the thought and effort that counts. Did you make any handmade gifts this season? Did people react as you expected once they saw them?
Update: Just received this picture from Mr. E, I can only imagine the looks he's getting!
It's 10:55 and the DJ announces he's going to slow things down for the last song of the evening. I guess him or the couple selected the final song and they are looking for a romantic ending to a fairytale day. That all sounds great until I look around and I see half the people on the dance floor leaving because they don't have a partner to dance with. It breaks my heart every time.
If these people were on the dance floor right up until the very end they were probably a big part of why the reception was a big hit - and now they are being chased off the dance floor because they didn't have a date. It just seems so unfair.
So to all couples out there who are considering ending with a slow dance song, please think of your single guests and imagine how you would feel if you couldn't dance with the happy couple for the last dance. My Suggestion - go out with a bang; a song that all your guests can party to.
Favorite songs right now: Living on a Prayer, Don't Stop Believin', and the disco classic Last Dance by Donna Summer.
