The Encore Bride is blog about wedding planning with the twist, we have been-there-done-that before. At this stage of our lives we have found true love and are looking forward to celebrating it with those that are very dear to us. This time around our wedding celebration will reflect our style and personality even if it does not follow the industry standards. I look forward to sharing fabulous ideas, inspiration and tips that will help us along the way.

Besides wedding planning I am also in the process of launching a girl’s special occasion apparel line, I hope I can also share some of the ups and downs of that process, I look forward to hearing from you!

To celebrate over 1,000 subscribers on youtube (and to complete a few things that I didn't get the chance to complete before), every Sunday for the rest of the summer you can expect an encore of a game I have played in the past and possibly parts of that game that I didn't show off before.

Wow...I seriously can't believe I actually convinced myself to do this for you guys... You should feel pretty darned special and loved right about now, because this portion of Mario Party 2 was the ONE thing I did not show off in my original playthrough due to the fact that it gave me such a hard time off screen. But because I love you pimps so, so much, here it is!! Welcome to the first encore of Mario Party 2 and Mini-Game Coaster! Now today I am only covering Part 1 of the coaster, but in time, as encore progresses, I will be covering the rest of it as well. Don't worry, I'm not going to cut the show short and leave you hanging. Now, I'm not sure I will be updating Mini-Game Coaster every Sunday, as I'll probably want to change it up and stick a different encore games in there every once in a while, but I promise in time that it will be completed. Wedding Video at The Ram's Head Inn

Stephanie and Kyle were a lot of fun. Everyone was laid back and really enjoyed the day. the weather was awesome as well. it's the kind of weather that brides who pick April for their wedding are expecting. It was sunny but with a slight chill in the air, which works in favor of the brides who have to wear a big heavy dress all day.

The Ram's Head Inn is famous for their cuisine and their wedding reception department did not disappoint. Everyone was so very helpful and supportive of all the vendors.

The most enjoyable part of the night was working with Sammy and Ray from Diamond DJ's again. we worked with them last fall and they are really great at what they do. They have a great energy that spills out onto the dance floor. Their attitude is contagious, so if you ain't having a good time when these guys are in the room you might want to check your pulse.

In Lieu Of...

So, you've seen those three words before - right? In lieu of a gift.... In lieu of flowers... In lieu of is pretty simple to define: In place of or instead of.


Well, on the horizon is a new way of giving - INLU (get it? in lieu?). Yes, it's spelled wrong - yes they know it. What is it? A simple way of getting everyone to go in on a group gift or if you are the wedding couple and do not want gifts but, instead would rather give to a charity - this is one way to do it.

INLU allows the person organizing the party (bachelorette, bridal shower, etc) a place to create an evite invitation and collect funds for one spectacular gift. Maybe, the couple has been living together and really couldn't use a new toaster, towel set or food processor. Maybe, what they really want is a new living room set. Seems pretty easy...that is if the people you are inviting are hip to internet gifting! I happen to like the idea - it's a pretty easy way to take care of gift giving - and I want to give the couple what they really want!

We did something similar for my hubby's 40th surprise birthday party! I had a luau surprise party for him and in lieu of a gift, I asked his friends and our family to chip in for a big surprise gift - a cruise to Hawaii! They all did it and my husband was SHOCKED! It was a lot of fun and easy for the guests...the only thing they had to do was show up for the surprise and have a good time.

I am not opposed to helping a couple with their honeymoon registry either. Times have changed! No longer does the bride have a trousseau when she gets married!

So how easy is it to set up? Pretty easy...

Create an Inlu.

Describe the GIFT.

Spread the word.

Purchase and give!
