Victoria and Brad had a wonderful wedding. They were very relaxed and didn't get stressed at all during the day. Their bridal party was a lot of fun as well.
And of course it always helps to have an all-star team of wedding professionals around you. As I'm sitting here writing this I'm thinking that if I had to write a blurb for each great professional that was at this wedding this would be an extremely long blog post. So for this post I'm just going to list them. Many of these wonderful people have already been written about elsewhere on my blog.
I miss you dearly but I work almost 12+hrs a day, there's has been no time to plan a wedding, sketch, catch up with all of my blogs, tweet or stay in touch with you guys. Everyday here seems to run into each other, sometimes I look up and a week has gone by (which is great). I work all day, take half a day off once a week and we take it easy on Sundays.
It's amazing the things you miss when you are away like this, like...my Mom, although I moved away from home 12 years ago I've missed her so much since I've been here. She's had a rough last few months but if you see here you would never be able to tell.
I miss colors, flowers, fabric, sewing, quilts, SUSHI, OMG how I miss good regular food. I am not complaining by any means, we have a very good dining facility and I've eaten lobster and crab legs much more often than any time I've been at home. There are some things you can't help but miss though...Mr. E's homemade biscuits, or one of his great steaks or his Greek spaghetti mmmmm. Guess who'll be doing most of the cooking once we get home?
Speaking of which, Mr. E is doing great, working long hours and learning so much about the finance industry, not bad for a guy that used to hang around tanks! We are both so glad to be fortunate to be here with each other and we thank God every day but we can't wait to come home!
In the meantime we'll keep working from sun up to sun down, that always makes the time go by faster!

Monday night I had to attend church, but I wasn't filming a wedding. My son, Andrew, had to go for reconciliation. This is the first time a child offers his confession to a priest. He also gave a reading, which he did very well. I was expecting him to be sitting with the priest for well over an hour but surprisingly he was only with him a few minutes. So either my son isn't as bad as I thought he was, or the Father gave him a raincheck because he didn't have enough time.

Rachel Maddow is fast becoming one of the most complete journalists on television bar none. Unlike most journalists that continue to be lazy, allowing politicians to spin without any challenge to any misinformation they make expound.

The GOP is attempting to equate reconciliation with the nuclear option that Republican Majority Leader Bill Frist attempted. It must be noted, it is the Republicans that have been constantly ramming things through with reconciliation and have been the only ones to attempt a nuclear option.
My wife, Jeanie, is hard to buy for. To be fair so am I. We live modestly and don't have real expensive tastes, so essentially when we want something we go buy it (unless it's something like a car). She loves jewelry, but to me that's kind of a personal taste so I really never like buying jewelry. So I just happened to be checking out some sites online for some ideas and I came across the Amazon Kindle.
I have known about this for a while but hadn't really thought about it as a gift. I had an e-book reader many years ago. It was bulky and the batteries didn't last long. Plus the site that you downloaded material went out of business and the reader company never gave us an alternative site to find material.
Well, Jeanie has been going to school, and the college text books are heavy and expensive. So I thought maybe she might be able to get some of her text books on the Kindle, as well as some other books that she could use for reports. So I ordered it.
It came and I started playing with it and charging the batteries. After playing with it for a couple hours and downloading some material i was so excited that I couldn't wait until Xmas to give it to her. This thing is really awesome. So much so that I went and ordered another for my son, Andrew. (and maybe I'll get myself one after Xmas)
For those who aren't familiar with it, the Kindle is an iPod for books. It holds 1500 digital books in an electronic enclosure thinner than a DVD case. And the books are generally cheaper than they would be in a store. Which just makes sense, since like an iTunes download there is no packaging involved.
So besides the obvious benefits of being able to carry you whole book collection with you and the ability to search through all the texts, the Kindle is green (environmentally friendly). There' some plastic and some silicon and a battery that will need to get disposed of, but think of all the trees it will save in the long run. It also takes away the hassle of having to go to the book store, since Amazon has stated that they want to digitize every book every printed you'll be able to find even out of print material.
And one of the biggest benefits is that there is actually a lot of FREE material for download. Classic books like Pride and Prejudice, Moby Dick, and Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol are in the public domain. If you wanted to buy these in the store you'd have to pay for the printing and binding, but not on The Kindle.
So if you haven't bought that special someone a gift yet, consider The Kindle.
Black and White seems so formal, so elegant...so, "grown up". Zac Posen's Resort 2010 black and white gown and blazer would be perfect for the encore bride, it is elegant with the blazer but can be very sexy without it. With Thanksgiving out of the way we can now concentrate on the next big event, Christmas! As soon as I came home from the Thanksgiving trip to visit Mr. E (which was great by the way) I focused on getting my Christmas decorations in place to decorate my home. Besides decorating for Christmas I've been thinking of all the beautiful decorations for the season and it is only fitting that I put together a Winter Glamour "mood board" (that is what they are called in the design world-as in the mood I want to convey in a collection).
As promised, I've been looking for inspiration in other "non-wedding" websites and blogs. The inspiration for this board was initiated by the living room picture at the top right from Elle Decor blog. The mood is opulent, glamorous and everything "bling". If you are on a tight budget you can consider a smaller guest list in order to go all out on the setting.
